On May 29, 2008, Moffitt Cancer Center entered into an exclusive License Agreement with Xceed Molecular, Inc. The licensed invention is directed to the development of a genetic signature into a gene chip used to predict disease stage and to select among therapy options in cancer patients. The Moffitt inventors are Dr. Timothy Yeatman, Dr. Steven Eschrich and Dr. Gregory Bloom. This biomarker set has been evaluated at Moffitt involving patients with colorectal cancer and will continue to be developed in a clinical setting.
