SNCC

The Southeast Nebraska Cancer Center (SNCC) is comprised of a group of oncologists, health care professionals and informatics personnel who support translational research in conjunction with a desire to offer the best survival opportunities to patients now and in the future. As an affiliate member of the National Functional Genomics Center (NFGC), SNCC provides clinical support for validation of molecular signatures and serves as the first clinical facility test site to provide patients for trials and to establish a research protocol for distance access to the NFGC. For SNCC news updates and more information on their affiliation with the NFGC, please click here.

On April 21 and 22, 2006, SNCC hosted a gala dinner and scientific symposium to celebrate the Lincoln, Neb., medical community's new association with the National Functional Genomics Center. For more information about this event, click  here.

SNCC has been working with Nebraska-area oncology centers, physicians, researchers and medical organizations to advance the cause of personalized cancer care and have developed the Midwest Personalized Oncology Program, a first-of-its-kind effort to help speed new cancer cures. The project involves collaboration among local patients, physicians, oncologists and national researchers to put personalized cancer care in reach of more patients. This federally funded pilot project is an alliance with the National Functional Genomics Center (NFGC). For more information about MPOP, visit www.save-your-tumor.com
