The NFGC was invited to participate as an exhibitor within the U.S. Army Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) booth at the ATA - American Telemedicine Association's 13th annual international meeting and trade show. 

The conference took place April 6-8, 2008 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, Wash. 

TATRC and its selected partners were located in Booth #1037. The TATRC booth consisted of four (4) centralized/themed areas, within 4 main kiosks, which accommodated more than 16 demonstrations/partners.

The TATRC theme was “Personal Health Monitoring” and the emphasis was on hi-tech advanced technologies, wireless electronic medical records and telecommunications.

Personalized medicine holds the promise to revolutionize health care through telemedicine that will allow this scientific innovation to extend to every person in every place around the globe. Specific topics and focus areas highlighted were Proteomics & Genomics, Informatics, Advanced Sensors and Advanced Imaging.

The NFGC showed a PowerPoint presentation that can be seen here. We also demonstrated some technology we use, including the Galvanon portable electronic tablet used to consent patients to the Total Cancer Care initiative. During a breakout session on Sunday, Dr. W. Jack Pledger, NFGC Director, and other TATRC partners presented information on their projects to facilitate interaction and possible collaborations.

Dr. W. Jack Pledger of Moffitt Cancer Center and Dr. Michelle Reyzer of Vanderbilt Medical Center were at the NFGC booth.	Drs. Pledger and Reyzer answered questions about the  NFGC at the ATA's international meeting and trade show.
